Football Fans To Burn MTN Products In Kintampo If..........

Irate football fans have threatened to burn products of telecommunication giant MTN if the Ghana Footballs Association decide to twist the arms of Kintampo Sharp Arrows in favour of Accra Hearts Of Oak .Speaking to reporters in Kintampo on Wednesday , leader of an estimated four hundred irate supporters Sumaila Zakaria said "The FA believes Kintampo is a bush place for Hearts to play football and that is why they want us to play in Sunyani to favour Hearts. They should remember we can go house to house and collect all MTN Sim cards and products and burn them if the dare us. We shall stop the sale of all MTN products in Kintampo if want to show bias against the people of Kintampo. .What kind of stupid thing is this. Baba Yara whose name is on Kumasi Sports Stadium is from here and you don't respect the people of Kintampo'' , the leader fumed.

It will be recalled Hearts were supposed to play Kintampo Sharp Arrows in Kintampo in the round of 64 of the MTN FA cup but the Hearts bias MTN FA committee bypassed the Brong Ahafo RFA and sent Hearts supporter to Kintampo to inspect a venue which was not the venue of the match who reported to the committee that the venue was not conducive for Hearts players.The committee rescheduled the venue to Coronation park in Sunyani which Sharp Arrows was given a late notice .The Committee have also refused the pay Kintampo Sharp Arrows their appearance fee and other entitlements running to GHC. 4000.00. On Wednesday ,Sharp arrows FC refused to show up when the committee told the management they would pay the club from the match gate proceeds unlike Hearts who were given appearance fee and transportation fee for the match.. Meanwhile, management of Sharp Arrows have also threatened to place injunction on the FA cup competition.
