Chelsea win and set sights on Super Cup

Berekum Chelsea have won the GHALCA Glo G8 competition and will be chasing their second trophy in seven days next Sunday when they play in the Super Cup.

The premiership champion beat Medeama SC 1-0 to lift the off-season competition on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Captain Mohammed Basit scored the winner in the 83rd minute when he drilled in a shot past Stephen Ahorlu to hand Chelsea the Cup.

Chelsea would now turn their attention to their Super Cup date on October 2 against FA Cup winners, FC Nania in Accra.

The Super Cup is played between the premiership champion and FA Cup winner to precede the start of the football season.
