Boro plays Down Boateng Link

Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren played down reports that he is about to launch a bid for Panathinaikos and Ghana striker Derek Boateng.

The 18-year-old, who also comes with a ?6m price tag, is a man Boro are trailing but McClaren said he was 'nowhere near' signing him.
