A reliable source within the club has revealed that Wellintong who quit Chelsea’s Premiership rivals Kpando Heart of Lions only last week over disagreements on his national team job, will spearhead a 3-man technical team that has former Hearts of Oak coach Yusif Abubakar as first team coach and Baba Alhassan as assistant.

Chelsea have indicated that they will not hinder Coach Wellington in the execution of his Black Satellites duties when necessary.

SportsInGhana.com also understands that Austrian coach Attila Sekerlioglu who was ushered into the post last week, will leave the club after taking charge of only one match which resulted in a 2-0 defeat at New Edubiase last Sunday.

Chelsea had a Match Day earlier gone top of the Glo Ghana Premier League after ending champions Aduana Stars’ unbeaten run.

CEO of the club, Nana Kwame Nketiah says the club and coach are focused on Sunday’s regional derby against B A Stars.

“It will be a tough game but its football, but at the end of the day, I expect Chelsea to be victorious,” Nana Nketiah said via phone on Wednesday.
