Sowah Appointed President Amputee Football Federation Of Africa

The World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) has appointed Ghana’s Mr. Francis Adjetey Sowah as President of the Amputee Football Federation of Africa (AFFA).
The appointment of Mr. Adjetey Sowah, who is also the Vice President of the Association of Sports for the Disabled (ASFOD) in Ghana, takes immediate effect.
He is therefore required to lead Ghana to host the next African Congress of AFFA and also the African tournament in Accra/ Kumasi.
He is to be assisted by Madam S. Barbara Vali Ogunti of Liberia who is the new Secretary General of AFFA.
In another development, Ghana was awarded the Most Promising Team of the just – end World Amputee Football tournament in Argentina. Ghana placed a respectable 6th in the tournament won by Uzbekistan, the defending Champions.
