“Re-Et Tu” Swag Awards

“A journalist is the look out on the ship of the state. He or she notes the passing sail, the little thing of interest that dot horizon in fine weather. He or she reports the drifting castaways whom the ship can save. He or she peers through the fog and storm to give warning of dangers ahead. He or she is not thinking of his or her wages nor the profits of his owners. He is here to watch over the safety and welfare of those who trust in him or her.”

JOSEPH PULITZER un quote -To Inform, To Educate ,To Entertain, but not to use your pen to attack the very people who trust in you. I have always thought that some of the most tolerant people in the word were journalist until I read rejoinder to my article “ET TU SWAG AWARDS “by Mr. William Ezah acting secretary of SWAG.I wonder what would have happen to the criminal libel law if he was the Attorney General or the president of this country. Today the German Bundesliga work like a clock while ours is still “marking Time”. So can’t we use that as a reference point for us to sit up? You even forgot to write a piece on fifty years of football league in Ghana. .Hon .Ezah do you want me to compare SWAG AWARDS with what takes place in Somalia, Niger, DR Congo or Zimbabwe. Oh please. Mfantsipim school will tell you” Dwen, Hwe kan “-Aim High.thats why each and everyone of us want this country to move forward and become like the USA, Japan, Germany, Singapore and not Somalia, Zimbabwe and others for Christ sake .it is true that during the early days of Swag Awards there were not many events competing with Swag after all there was only
