Hundred golfers to vie for Coca Cola Cup

Tema, Aug. 24, GNA - About 100 golfers would parade at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema to compete for this month's Coca Cola Medal trophy on Saturday, August 28.

Mr Oswald Amuzu, Competition Secretary of the Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports at Tema on Tuesday, said all the necessary arrangements has been put in place to ensure a keen and enjoyable competition.

He said the competition which is in its eighth edition would not be exceptional from the previous ones.

Champion golfers Wang Shu, Abdul Aziz-Amankwa and Joe Ampofo are expected to battle each other for the giant trophy at stake.

Meanwhile, this year's Tema Tigo Open Championship would be played at Tema Golf course on September 4 and September 5.
