We Erred In Boateng’s Nationality Switch – GFA Boss

The Ghana FA failed to provide all the necessary documents needed to aid in the nationality switch of German-born Kevin-Prince Boateng, FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi has revealed to Peace FM.

"We have processed the documents for Boateng's nationality switch, but FIFA asked for some more documents before it can approve it.

"We know that by May at least FIFA will approve the move because FIFA wants to approve nationality switches before the World Cup," he assured.

The GFA is yet to provide the Ghanaian passport of Boateng's father, a key condition for the switch to be approved, which had led to the six-month delay.

An official of the FA of the west African nation, Fred Pappoe, shifted blame onto FIFA for the undue delays right after a BBC report quoting a FIFA official saying Ghana has not been forthcoming with vital documents.
