Aduana Stars determined to win Premier League

Dormaa Ahenkro, (B/A) Feb. 22, GNA - The head coach of Aduana Stars, Herbert Addo has said that the Club will win the converted Glo Premier League trophy this year despite its debutant status.

Coach Addo said with the team's performance and determination to make an impact in the League, they are poised to make history and optimistic of maintaining their hold on the table and emerging as the champions.

The coach in an interview with GNA Sports shortly after their Premier League match victory over Kumasi Asante Kotoko at Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday said his team's initial aim was to survive the Premiership "but I have become convinced that with little effort we can win the trophy".

Aduana Stars on Sunday beat Kotoko by a lone goal to avenge the1-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the 'Porcupine Warriors' in the first leg of the Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. The only goal of the match came from a free-kick which was neatly tapped into goal by Nurudeen Ali in the 60th minute of the tension packed match.
