Eric Bekoe Tops Egyptian League Scoring Charts

Ghanaian international Eric Bekoe has taken over as the leading goal scorer in the Egyptian league with eight goals in his bag.

The Petrojet striker toppled Harras El Haddoud’s forward Udul Abdul, who has seven goals, as the top-flight’s leading scorer after his late goal secured a 1-0 win over Masri this Sunday.

Bekoe, who was once a Ghana league goal king then with Kumasi Asante Kotoko struck with only three minutes remaining, Ghanasoccernet.com reports.

Petrojet is tailgating league leaders Al Ahly by six points after beating Masri as the Ghanaian fights to return to the national team.

The Ghanaian youngster could earn himself a place in the national team ahead of the Africa Nations Cup with his current form.
