Ghanaian youngster to represent Africa in Sweden

Ghana's Samuel Akayade has qualified alongside eight other players, the nine-man team will represent the continent at this year's International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)-organised World Cadet Challenge in Heisenberg, Sweden.

Disclosing this to Happy FM an Accra based radio station yesterday at the end of the 17th edition of African Junior and CadetTable Tennis Championships in Alexandria, Egypt, African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) technical team member, Khaled El-Salhy, said the players were chosen based on their performances at the championship. He listed others in the team to include Egypt's quartet of Nadeen El-Dawlatly, Dina Meshref, Mohamed and Omar Bedair. Tunisia's Adem Hmam and Nigeria's trio of Ojo Onaolapo, Funke Hassan and Fatimo Kazeem complete the list.
