Taylor, Ishmael didn?t impress

HEARTS OF Oak Bulgarian Trainer, Mitko Kostadinov says returnees, Charles Taylor and Ishmael Addo, failed to meet his expectation in their friendly game against Young Hasaacas at the Tema Park last Thursday.

?I was expecting them to play far above what they demonstrated this afternoon, but they played slightly above average. I am not content, I am sure with time, they will catch up,? was how he put it.

The Coach pointed out that, ?From the way the fans cheered them on anytime they are with the ball suggested that they are happy with their performance, but I am not, I will give them 60%,? he added.

Responding to how he assesses their fifth-week premier league clash against Real Sportive on Wednesday, he stated that although it will not be an easy task, they are sure to scale the hurdle for all the three points.

The game, although a preparatory exercise, which ended 3-0 in Hearts? favour, drew a large following from far and near just to catch a glimpse of Ishmael and Taylor in the rainbow colours.

A stadium attendant remarked ?The last time I saw such a crowd like this was when Kotoko-Real Sportive return leg after Sportive had beaten Kotoko 3-1 in the first leg.?

The slightest touch of the ball by the two playmakers in the game generated cheers and screams from the fans, some went singing Lucky Mensah?s hit track ?Come back to me.?

Taylor?s strike in the 19th minute, which opened the scoring, electrified the entire park. It was a powerful free kick, which went through the torn net after stretching intelligent goalkeeper, Kofi Nkyenam beyond his limit.

Substitutes Alfred Nii Larbi and Ablade Morgan increased the tally in the 27th and 31st.

A Hearts of Oak fan, Daniel Armah told this reporter after the game that, ?The never say die spirit is back, it is good Taylor and Ishmael are back, the attention will be shifted from Eric Gawu, and this will give him more room to operate.?
