Two week coaching course ends

Accra, Sept. 25, GNA -- A two week Level 2 course organized for Volleyball coaches ended at the C.K Gyamfi Sports College in Winneba. The intensive international course, organize by the Ghana Olympics Committee (GOC) with funding from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), through Olympic solidarity had participants drawn from the Ghana Education Service and the National Sports Council (NSC). Mr Zohair Ammar, the International Course Director in his closing remarks commended the participants for the high level of discipline shown throughout the duration of the course. He urged the Ghana Volleyball Association and the GOC to continue to maintain the existing good relationship to ensure for the growth of the game in the country.

Mr Benson Tongo Baba, President of the GOC, congratulated the participants and advised them to put the knowledge acquired during the course into practical use.

He said the GOC intends to organize another Solidarity course before the end of the year.

Dr Henry Pufaa, Lecturer at the University College of Winneba, Mr Dominic Asabea, Director of the Sports College and Mr Kwame Mnu- Debrah, Chairman of the Ghana Volleyball Association were among a number of dignitaries who graced the occasion.
