Veep gives 3m cedis each to Dwarfs, Vipers.

Vice-President John Evans Atta Mills on Monday demonstrated his concern for sports development in other parts of the country by donating three million cedis each to Cape Coast "Ebusua" Dwarfs and Cape Coast Venomous Vipers sporting clubs for their impressive performance this year.

Professor Mills, who was on a visit to the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly, made the presentation through the Assembly.

The donation to Dwarfs was in appreciation of their qualification to play in the CAF competition next year after placing second in the just ended Premier league.

To Venomous Vipers it is to motivate the club and help them prepare for the Division One Middle League, which commences on October 6. Vipers have qualified alongside six other clubs for the round robin contest which promote the two tops to the elite division.

Professor Mills expressed the Assembly's hope that Vipers would qualify to play in the premier division next season.

Mr. Alex Fiifi-Ghartey, presiding member of the Assembly received the two cheques on behalf of the clubs.
