Accra,(Greater Accra) 20 Oct. The second edition of the Samsung sponsored national Basketball Championship will come off from November 22 to 30 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, Accra. Twelve basic schools in Accra, selected after a preliminary competition and four best teams (three from Accra and one from Kumasi), are expected to take part in the competition being sponsored by Afko Imex Ghana Limited, a representative of Samsung Electronics at the cost of 90.4 millions cedis. Launching the programme, dubbed the "Super Samsung Slam", at a press conference in Accra today, Mr Peter Kpordugbe, Chairman of the Amateur Basketball Association of Ghana said eight of the basic schools will compete in the boys and four in the girls divisions while the four best teams clash in the men's division.
