Squash Association benefits from professional coaching

Accra, July 8, GNA--The Ghana Squash Association is to benefit from the services of a professional coach from Britain with effect from July 9.

The services of the coach, Mr G. Russel was made possible by Geodrill Company Limited, a drilling company based in Ghana. Consequently, Mr Russel will hold a week-long coaching clinic for all squash clubs with Geodrill Limited--flight, picking boarding and lodging as well as transport expenses.

A source at the squash association told GNA Sports that the vision of the association is to look for credible sponsors to develop the sport to world class level and make it attractive to the youth. The source urged all lovers of squash to come out of their 'wait and see' posture to join the bandwagon.

'Ghana squash is in motion and we invite all enthusiasts to put their shoulders to the wheel of the squash wagon and push it to world levels', he urged.

The coach is also expected to hold clinics in Accra, Tesano, Tema, Burma Camp, Obuasi, Kumasi and Takoradi.
