Odotei appointed acting MD of Hearts

Strategic committee chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has been appointed the acting Managing Director of the club.

The Board of Directors took the decision on Monday, July 25 after a crunch meeting.

According to a statement from the club signed by Hackman Aidoo the Accounts/Administrative Manager, the Strategy Committee for which Mr Odotei is the chairman will still be in operation to augment his work by jointly steering the affairs of the club until a substantive Managing Director is appointed.

The former Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential aspirant was Chief Executive Officer of the club between 2007 and 2010, and it was during his tenure that Hearts won their last Premier League trophy.

Hearts are currently league leaders with 38 points with nine matches to end the season.
