Lumor Abgenyanu believes team can win 2019 AFCON title

Ghana international Lumor Abgenyanu is optimistic the team can win the 2019 Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Coach Kwesi Appiah and his side began their qualifiers on perfect note after beating Ethiopia 5-0 at the Babayara Sports Stadium to set the way for yet another Cup of Nations appearance.

The Black Stars are still waiting to get a hand on the Cup of Nations title after missing out on the trophy in the last two editions.

Abgenyanu believes the team can secure the trophy for the first time in so many years.

“Yes we can qualify and even win the competition, Ghanaians have been waiting for the title for a long time,” he told Bryte FM.

“We just have to make sure we qualify for the Cup of Nations in Cameroon and I believe we can win when he get there.”

Ghana last won the title in 1982. Coach Kwesi Appiah has already been tasked to win the trophy in 2019.
