Danish-born Ghanaian Kevin Mensah was in Colin Todd’s squad which lost four nil to Broendby IF at the Broendby Stadion on matchday 1 of the Danish Superlig yesterday.

The 25-year-old played the entire game but was unable to find the back of the net as his side, Esbjerg fB, slipped in an away fixture.

The double footed player is described as a technical marvel, an elegant offensive player with a wonderful technique that makes him a crowd favourite in addition to a footspeed that makes him uncomfortable to handle for any defender.

Mensah, born to a Ghanaian father and a Danish mother, plays as a winger/forward. He is eligible to play for the Black Stars having played for all the junior national teams of Denmark.

Kevin’s side will lock horns with FC Koebenhavn on July 23 at the 18,000 capacity Blue Water Arena in a week two fixture.
