Jukwa Zone emerges champions Inter Zonal Sports Festival

Twifo Nyinase, (C/R) March 31, GNA - Jukwa Zone on Friday bagged 130 points to lift the overall championship trophy of the 15th edition of the Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District Basic Schools Inter Zonal Sports Festival at Twifo Nyinase.

Twifo Nyinase Zone placed second with 109 points while Twifo Agona and Twifo Praso Zones tied at the third position with 104 points each with Twifo Wawase Zone placing fifth with 93 points. Twifo Hasowodze Zone took the sixth position with 90 points, Twifo Nuamakrom Zone was seventh with 66 points and Twifo Hemang Zone came eighth with 64 points with Twifo Wamaso Zone coming ninth with 44 points.

In the Boys division, Jukwa Zone came first with 81 points followed by Twifo Agona Zone at the second position with 67 points, Twifo Hasowodze Zone was third with 64 points and Twifo Praso Zone came fourth with 56 points while Twifo Wawase Zone was fifth with 53 points. Twifo Nyinase Zone came first with 81 points in the Girls division followed by Jukwa Zone at the second position with 49 points, Twifo Wawase Zone was third with 40 points, Twifo Agona Zone was fourth with 37 points while Twifo Wamaso Zone came fifth with 36 points. Ms Regina Longdon, the District Director of Education presented trophies and certificates to deserving athletes and players.
