Japanese community to support Hearts in Dwarfs clash

The Secretary in Charge of Culture and Sports at the Japanese Embassy Masa Iida has revealed that the Japanese community in Ghana is planning of trekking to Cape Coast to support Accra Hearts of Oak in their clash with Ebusua Dwarfs.

To him, the latest achievement of Hearts of Oak’s Japanese-born trainer, Kenichi Yatsuhashi has made them proud and they have vowed to follow the team to every length to support them.

“We are announcing all Japanese in Ghana should go to Cape Coast to support Keni to win his third match.

I am not sure of the number that will be going to the stadium but we definitely are telling our people who are there to go and support and those of us in Accra will be going to watch the game too,” Masa Iida told GHANAsoccernet.com in an exclusive interview.

Hearts’ opening league match with New Edubiase United at the Accra Sports Stadium saw many Japanese trooping to the stadium to cheer their ‘son’ Kenichi on during the game.

Masa Iida added that ‘king’ Keni has made them proud and that they will do everything possible to make him feel at home.
