Hearts' SOS Message To Supporters

Accra - An amount of three hundred million cedis is urgently needed to enable Accra Hearts of Oak make a successful entry to the first round of the CAF Championship league which begins on July 23, so says the millennium chairman, Harry Zakkour.

In a telephone chat with Mail Sports, the chief executive officer of Accra Hearts of Oak said the amount represents the money needed to take care of eighteen players, two GFA officials (including a referee) two club officials, a doctor, a masseur, and a pressman.

Harry Zakkour said this is a twenty-five-man delegation, taking into consideration tickets, accommodation, per diem, airport tax and other incidental expenses.

The Hearts management boss said this is quite a whopping sum of money and appealed to the supporters and sympathisers of the club to do their very best to supplement the efforts of management and the Board to successfully and jointly undertake the venture.

He expressed optimism that all things being equal, if the players do their best, management executes the right policies and supporters and sympathisers generously contribute their quota, Hearts will lift the elusive CAF Champions League this year.

Harry Zakkour reminded all Phobians to be aware that Hearts is surrounded by internal and other local enemies who will try to abort their efforts.

"You are therefore to open your eyes and do your very best for the betterment and progress of the club," the millennium chairman said, adding, "Accra Hearts of Oak expects everyone to do his and her duty for the club today, that is the clarion call."
