Green grass technology expert declares Accra Sports Stadium unfit for games

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Green Grass Technology, Mr. Frank Boahen has lamented over the poor nature of the pitch at the Accra Sports Stadium, saying it is unfit for football.

According to him the Stadium is unfit to host a Premier League football match.

“The field of play is very bad…it is not good for football, it looks very green from afar but not good for the game.

“The pitch needs re-grassing, the best soil, nurturing, before it would be ready for use again…the pitch is over ten years and really needs renovation” he said.

The Minister of Youth and Sports has confirmed that renovation of the Stars will start in June this year.
