Government Acquires Land For Sports Complex At Prampram

Prampram (Greater Accra Region), 12 Oct. The Prampram Traditional Council in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region, has released 100 acres of land for the construction of an international sports stadium. This follows the outcome of a meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Prampram Traditional Council and the Town and Country Planning at Prampram on Friday. At the meeting were Nene Tetteh Djan the third, President of the Prampram Traditional Council and his elders, Mr. Joe Kwarteng of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Mr. Samuel Humphrey Tieku of the Town and Country Planning. Nene Tetteh Djan, who is also the paramount chief of the Prampram Traditional area, urged the government to work out the issue of compensation. Mr. Kwarteng expressed the government's gratitude to the traditional authorities.
