Ghana's Black Stars 2010 Calendar is out

2010 will be an important year for the African continent, as it hosts two major football tournaments, the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup. Ghana's Black Stars have booked a place in both tournaments and will be vying to win .

The World Cup will be hosted for the first time on the African continent and to commemorate the participation of Ghana's Black Stars, a calendar has been produced to introduce the players that helped us reach this tournament. It will  serve as a 'know your players' for the millions of Ghanaian fans all over the world, thus  giving the adoring fans proximity to their heroes. In addition to that, proceeds of the calendar will help augment the limited resources that is available to the GFA.

To promote the 2010 Calendar, John Painstil, the reliable right-back of the Black Stars and current SWAG player of the year, was at hand to give his support. He was impressed with the design and quality of the product. He lamented on how good the pictures were and was grateful that Ghanaians all over the world were behind the team. He believes it is this unflinching support that will drive the players to work hard and hopefully win the African Cup of Nations and the main event, the World Cup. As far as he is concerned, in a tournament, such as the World Cup, anything can happen and barring any major injuries to our top players, he believes we have a good chance of liftng the trophy.

The calendar is available in all the major Ghanaian shops in London . In Ghana, you can get it at the Bookshop in the Accra Mall, The African Regent Hotel, La Palm Hotel, Fiesta Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel, Total filling stations, Woolworths shop etc. To purchase it online, visit www.ghanacalendar.co.uk.
