Ghana due for a Badminton Tournament In Mauritius

Ghana will be competing in the Thomas and Uber badminton tournament in Mauritius from Thursday 11, February 2016 to the Saturday, 20 February 2016.

The tournament which is the preliminary round of qualifier for the Olympics game will serve as stepping stone for players who will eventually qualify for the final round which take place in Beijing, China.

In an interview with the general secretary of the badminton Association of Ghana Mr.Ignatius Elletey he said “currently we have eight players currently in camp in Tema, who are vigorously preparing for the tournament upcoming.”

He also added that the participation in the Thomas and Uba tournament is very critical for the players as they look forward to build up their ranking points.

He told sportscrusader.com about the enthusiasm of the association in getting the tickets for the tournament for the athlete when the time is due.
