Ghana beat Nigeria 7-2 in open polo match

Accra, Dec. 17, GNA - Trafigura Ghana, defeated Eko Kings of Nigeria 7-2 in the opening match of this year's Accra International Open Polo Championship played at the Accra Polo Grounds on Wednesday. It was the Ghanaian side that dominated the exchanges and deservedly opened the scores two minutes inside the First Chukka through goal-poacher Brette Watson.

Waston was on hand again to make it 2-0 for his side a minute later before LanceWaston increased the tally to 3-0 a minute inside the Second Chukka.

Jamil Ibrahim scored two quick goals in the Fourth Chukka before Kainde beating down the score for Eko Kings in the Third Chukka. Damain Duncan sealed the doom of the Nigerians by scoring two more goals in the Fourth Chukka while Ayo Olashodu netted one for his side. In the second match of the day, WDP of Nigeria managed to beat Professionals of Ghana 4-3.

Vanguard Assurance, Prime Concrete and WDP Youth are taking part in the five-day games which ends on Sunday, December 21.
