Accra, Dec. 8, GNA - Ghana has announced its participation in this y= ear's edition of "Dow Live Earth" Walk aimed at combating global water crisis. National Sports For all Association of Ghana (NASFAAG), representing=

confirmed their participation in the event to be held on Sunday, April 18= , 2010 simultaneously in
39 international cities across the World. John Aduakwa, Chairman of NASFAAG, at the launch of the event in Acc= ra on Tuesday,
said that the Walk consist of a six-km exercise that would take place ove= r 24-hours in countries
around the world. He said the event is also to enhance water education activities aime= d at igniting a tipping point
to help solve the global water crisis. Mr Aduakwa explained that NASFAAG's Dow Live Earth 6-km for Water ev= ent will
commence at 06h00 GMT from the Independence Square in Accra where participants will unite
together as part of the global effort to solve the critical issue affecti= ng nearly one-eighth of the
world's population. He added that the event will serve as a catalyst to rally the world community around the
critical issue of water scarcity and empower citizens to be part of the solution. Mr Charles Aryeh, Chief Administrative Officer of the National Sport= s Council (NSC)
expressed his outfit's support for the event, especially with the essenti= al nature of water.
