Ghana FA boss confident Malawi will fall

Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has no doubt the Black Stars will edge past Malawi in the reverse leg of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

The Black Stars will battle a plucky Malawian side in Lilongwe needing to preserve a 2-0 advantage from the first leg.

The Ghanaians will begin camping in Kenya on Monday ahead of the big game and the FA chief is confident the team will surpass the challenge.

“Everyone in Ghana including the players, technical team and the management committee of the Black Stars are mindful of the fact we have to qualify to the Nations cup,” Nyantakyi said

“To qualify, we need a good scoreline. At least we need a draw but we are going to win.

“I am very hopeful about that. The necessary arrangements have been put in place.

“The team will begin camping on Monday in Nairobi and then leave for Malawi on Friday to play the game.”

Head Coach Kwesi Appiah has drafted in Afriyie Acquah to replace injured Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu for the game.
