GFA bans use of sachet water at stadium

Accra, June 5, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has with immediate effect banned the use of sachet water during League matches at the various stadia during matches.

A statement signed by Mr Kweku Ampim-Darko, Deputy General Secretary/Technical of the GFA copied to GNA Sports said, the ban by the GFA was due to the unscrupulous behavior of some fans who throw sachet water at match officials and opposing teams at the least provocation. It added that, empty sachets also litter the field after matches hence the decision to impose the ban on its use by Clubs and their followers.
