Farmer Constructs Football Pitch

Coaltar (Eastern Region), 6 Nov. Amaga Mensah Sogbordzie, a farmer at Owusukrom, near Coaltar, has constructed a football field at the cost of 1.5 million cedis for third division and colts clubs in the area. Clubs from seven villages in the area -- Owusukrom, Akotuakrom, Marfokrom, Otoase, Awereoso, Kusekekrom and Anotrokrom -- are expected to use the field Amaga Sogbordzie, who told the GNA at Owusukrom today that it is his personal contribution to soccer development, appealed to the clubs to make good use of the field to raise the standard of the game in the area.
