Exercise to Select Team Underway

As part of their effort to build a formidable team to represent Greater Accra in the national athletics championship, the CALL Track and Field Foundations would organize the 2002 Greater Accra Regional Relays on Friday December 20 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to the organizers, the championship would be opened to all athletes in the Greater Accra Metropolis as well as those from keep fit clubs.The statement entreats leaders of all keep fit clubs to meet the regional athletics coach today, December 13 at the Accra Sports Stadium to discuss issues relating to the competition.

Some of the events to be competed in the sprints are 400, 600, 1000 metres. There would also be the 200 by 4 and 400 by 4 metres relays. For the field events, there would be long jump, triple jump and shot put. Registration is open till December 18.
