Dwarfs pip Coconut Grove

Cape Coast, June 30, GNA - Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs dished out a painful 1-0 defeat to Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks in their Division One outstanding League match played at the Robert Mensah stadium on Monday. The match which was scheduled for last Sunday was postponed due to heavy down pour to Monday.

From the blast of the whistle, Coconut Grove matched their opponents squarely and ended the first half scoreless. Dwarfs however came back from the recess strongly to score the match winner through Ekow Ghansah of Hearts of Oak fame in the 75th minute. After the goal, Coconut Grove took absolute control of the match and tormented Dwarfs with short and accurate passes but their desire to walk the ball into the net and over anxiety to score denied them the equalizer.

Results of other League matches were, Tarkwa Real United drew 3-3 with Feyenoored, Winneba Soccer Professionals beat Sekondi Westlandes 2-1 with Sekondi Metro also drawing 2-2 with Dunkwa-On-Offin Starke. 30 June 09
