Dreams FC Coach CK Akonnor has sent a word of caution to Premier League Clubs ahead of the new season indicating his side is eager to make an impact in the domestic top-flight.

The former Ghana international guided the Kweiman-based Club to a historic qualification to the elite division after toping zone III of the GN Bank division one League.

Dreams FC are yet to have their qualification confirmed by the Ghana Football Association following a protest by Tema Youth owner Winfred Osei Parma on midfielder Daniel Gozer who is alleged to have flouted the rules by using separate names for two different clubs.

Akonnor is however not ruling out his side’s chances in the League despite making their debut appearance.

“As I have said before Dreams FC is not in to compete for the title or something, we are in to make an impact, probably if the chance comes for us to win something, we will grab that opportunity,” the former Accra Hearts of Oak coach said in an interview with the media.

“We will surely do our best and demonstrate why we qualified to the Premier League, we know is not going to be that easy but we will try and deliver.”

The former division two League campaigners have already signed six new players to beef up their squad ahead of the new season which has been slated for December 20.
