Decathlon supports Lizzy Sports Complex Private schools football gala

Newly established sportswear company, Decathlon once again demonstrated their unalloyed commitment to the development of sporting talents in the country as they partnered the Lizzy Sports complex to stage the 6th edition of the Private School Football Gala.

The one-day event that brought together 12 private schools in Accra to compete for glory in under-12 and under-16 categories had East Airport school emerging victors in the under-12 category.

Grace Preparatory school won the under-16 class after easily brushing aside Al Rayman school.



Decathlon Ghana which believes in Sports for all people, since their arrival in Ghana have demonstrated total commitment to sports development which has seen them sponsor a lot of events.

The company which opened its biggest shop in West Africa a few weeks ago is dedicated to the unearthing of talents and also promotion pf sports in the country.



The country manager of Decathlon Ghana Kwasi Tabury took the opportunity to highlight some of the things his company has done which sheds light on their unwavering dedication to the promotion of sports in Ghana.

“I’m happy to be here to support one of the biggest sporting activities in Accra. We are here because we have a goal of making sports accessible to everyone. As one of the biggest sportswear companies in the world, we see it as a duty to make people enjoy sports. Sports for all people is what we believe in”, Kwasi Tabury said.



The Decathlon Ghana is located at the Junction Mall in Nungua. It occupies an impressive 1,250 square metres and is stocked with over 3000 products spanning over 40 different sports disciplines.



The Private School gala is annual football festival held by Lizzy Sports complex to help unearth talents and also foster unity among the private schools in Accra.
