Daniel Opare rules out Porto exit

Duro Ivanisevic, the agent of Ghana international Daniel Opare, has ruled out a Porto exit, despite the defender being relegated to the Team B.

Ivanisevic, who brokered the Porto deal for the Ghanaian lateral defender last summer, insists his client is happy at Dragao and will not opt for a transfer.

“It is true that he is not playing, he is not relevant, but is not in our plans to let him move away in January,” Ivanisevic told the Game. “After all, Daniel [Opare] is happy at the club, because he knows that Porto has a future for him. At least that's what they tell us.”

“He was injured for a long time and this delayed his progress in Portugal. Now he is good and working well, though he wanted to be playing more as a player, he also knows that sooner or later will get a chance. He is not given up,” the agent added.

“Porto continue to believe in the qualities.”

Opare was one of the best players in the Belgian Pro League last season but has struggled since joining Porto as a free agent.
