Council 37 win 'Olympic' Games

Accra, May 7, GNA- Tema Council 37 of the Noble Order of The Knights and Ladies of Marshall scored 21 points to win this year's Greater Accra Regional Marshallan 'Olympic' Games and Socialization held in Accra on Saturday.

Council 48 took the second position with 20 points followed by Council's 63 and 74 at third position with 17 points while Council 10 came fifth with 16 points, followed by Council 71 with 15 points and Council 64 placing seventh with 11 points.

In the Ladies event, Court 67 came first with 32 points followed by Court 63 at second position with 21 points with Court 58 placing third with 16 points, while Courts 26 and Five placed fourth with 15 points. The fixtures of the games included soccer gala, field of events of 50 and 60 metre dash, picking of oranges, volleyball, Tug of Love and ball relays

Brother Tony Baffour, Greater Accra Regional Grand Knight said the one-day event under the theme: "A healthy mind in a healthy Body for the labourer in the Lord's vineyard", was aimed at fostering unity and solidarity among the Knights.

He expressed the hope that the unity and cordial relationship existing among them would be further strengthened through such friendly compeitions.
