The national Badminton team have arrived safely in the Ivorian capital Abidjan on Thursday ahead of their qualifiers for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

16 players made up of 6 girls and 10 boys will be hoisting the flag of Ghana in search of qualification to the Australia games as well as the Youth Olympic Games.

Both the seniors and juniors players have been camping in Cape Coast for the past week preparing for the championship.

Ghana will face 9 other countries including host Ivory coast and Egypt in the first of the four tournaments they will be participating in from now till August.

Coach Jacob Evans Wilson and Ocansey Ahumah are the two coaches leading the team.
