Aziz misses MTN Soccer Academy Skuulz Challenge 2 Finals

The ongoing MTN Soccer Academy Skuulz Challenge 2 pulled what could by far be described as the most hard-hitting surprise at its penultimate Show last Sunday night, as it witnessed the eviction of arguably one of the competition’s “select linchpins”, Abdul Aziz (teammate #13) from the NJA College of Education.

Aziz’s eviction, which was not in the least anticipated by many, will no doubt go down in the history of the Soccer Reality Show as one of its most shocking, whiles re-affirming one of its most distinctive traits; “hard to predict”.

In a brief interview after the Show, the 18-year old, who appeared impressively composed, thanked God for keeping him safe throughout his stay in the competition. He also applauded the Show’s Organizers, Optimum Media Prime and its title Sponsor, MTN, for giving him “an opportunity that has made me a better player”.

Head Coach of the Soccer Academy, Mr. Yaw Preko, described the 18-year old as one of the competition’s most versatile players and revealed that the winger has “so much potential within him that should be harnessed”.

In their last eviction game, the teammates recorded a remarkable win over Cedars FC of Lebanon, thrashing the latter 6-2 on the night.

Fortune also smiled on Bernard Appiah (teammate #14) as he was adjudged new captain of the house.

The night’s entertainment flip featured an excellent mix of dance and music with stunning performances by “Gameboy” and” Kobby Ranna”.

Aziz’s eviction has set the stage for the final face-off that will see the remaining six teammates engage in the closing battle for the coveted prize package worth GHC150,000 comprising three brand new Renault saloon cars, university scholarship and soccer career in Ghana and Europe.

The teammates who will be combating for the ultimate honours for themselves and their respective schools are Evans Okoh Armah (teammate # 2) St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, Nicholas Anai Abbey (teammate #10) La Presbyterian Senior High School and Daniel Abaa (teammate # 4) Zamstech Senior High School.

The rest are Michael Afenu (teammate # 8) University of Ghana, Legon, Bernard Appiah (teammate #14) Juabeng Senior High School and Hanan Wahab (teammate # 9) T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School.

The votes of patrons and the general public is clearly now more crucial than ever before in this exciting build up to the Grand Finale Show.
