Ashgold rally back to beat Edubiase

Obuasi Ashantigold put their fighting spirit to test as they succeeded in the second round Glo Premier League by rallying to beat visiting New Edubiase from a goal down in their Premier League match played at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

The visitors scored first on 30 minutes when the Premiership lead scorer, Emmanuel Baffour struck to take his season’s tally to 12 and put Edubiase in the lead to savour the first half in their favour.

Ashgold returned from the break a rejuvenated side as they pushed for an equalizer that arrived only five minutes from the start of the second half when Didier Koore pulled parity from the spot.

The goal solidified the homers confidence which saw them dominating play. Their hard work was rewarded in the 80th minute when Latif Mohammed scored the second to give Ashgold all three points at home.

Edubiase made a last minute effort for an equalizer but that never arrived til the final whistle.
