Aryonu wins Lipton Bi-Monthly Medal Golf

Tema, ,Aug. 31, GNA - Solomon Aryonu returned a net score of 69 to win the second Lipton Bi-Monthly Medal Open Golf Championship played at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday. He was followed by Ebenezer Moore with 71 net after he beat Joshua Peprah and Samuel Afari on count-back while James Otoo placed fifth with 72 net also beating M.K. Osei on count-back.

In the Ladies encounter, Florence Etwi-Barimah came first with 75 net, Grace Amoah came second with 79 net while Esther Antwi took the third position with 79 net.

The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition which was open to amateur golfers was sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited. Mr Kweku Okyere, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club praised the company for sponsoring the competition and called on other corporate bodies to help develop the sport.
