Areeba handball league enters week two

Accra, June 12, GNA 96 The 2006 Areeba Handball Championship enters the second week on Thursday June 15 with both the male and female sides of Fire and Police Services locking horns at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex.

The game will provide the Firemen another opportunity to grab the maximum points at stake after they had defeated Future Stars in the first week.

The male team of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will take their turn on Friday, June 16, against Future Stars at Burma Camp.

Ghana Navy will also seek to increase their points=92 build up as they battle Asomdwe Club at the Burma Camp on Saturday, June 17, with the male and female sides of Prison Service and Hostac will engage in another encounter at the Prisons Complex.

The male team of the Ghana Air force will engage Old Hands at the Burma camp to complete the second week fixtures.

Earlier in the week, Ghana Navy lost to Prisons Service 17-15, whilst Fire Service defeated Future Stars by 31-24, with Hostac losing to Ghana Army by 9-16. Asomdwe Stars defeated Old Hands 25-23.
