Appiah in talks with Al Khartoum

Sudanese side Al Khartoum SC have announced that former Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah has accepted to start negotiations with them to lead the team in the next season.

Al Khartoum will play in the next edition of the Caf Confederation Cup after ending the last domestic league season in the top four.

The Sudanese side decided not to extend the contract of their current Egyptian coach, Hamza Al Gaml, who ended his contract last month.

According to Sudanese media, Al Khartoum officials had wanted to sign a European coach before they announced that the Ghanaian coach will arrive soon to start negotiations with them.

Appiah was sacked as Ghana head coach last September. He led the Black Stars to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
