Annan heads Greater Accra Cycling Association

Accra, Dec. 10, GNA - Mr Emmanuel Annan has been elected Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Cycling Association. Mr. Michael Oklu assumes the role of a Vice Chairman with Mr Charles Twum Barimah elected as Secretary.

Other elected officials are Mr. Wilberforce Anum Quaye - Treasurer and Mr Charles Johnson - Trustee. Mr. Kofi Ohene Osae and Mr.Albert Oku were also elected as Executive Members. Mr Annan told the GNA Sports that his primary objective is to increase the interest of the corporate world to support cycling, adding that this is the only way to make the sport a leading discipline in the country.

He therefore called on companies as well as individuals to help promote the sport especially among the youth. Mr Annan advised all companies and individuals interested in utilizing the services of cyclists in the Greater Accra Region to contact Mr Johnson who also doubles as the development coordinator at the Greater Accra Cycling office at the Regional Sports Council or through caframjohnson@yahoo.com.
