Aggrey Fynn receives assistance

Cape Coast, April 1 - GNA-The management board of Ghana Football Association on Saturday donated two million cedis to Mr Aggrey Fynn, former captain of the Black Stars in the Nkrumah regime at his residency at Cape Coast to settle his medical bills.

Mr Aggrey Fynn has been taken ill and was until last Monday been on admission at the central regional hospital.

Making the presentation, Mr Kofi Nsia, general secretary of the board said the donation was GFA's contribution towards the speedy recovery of Mr Aggrey Fynn.

Mr Aggrey Fynn expressed gratitude to the board for its humanitarian gesture and said the gesture demonstrate the boards recognition of his contribution to soccer in the country.

He hoped the gesture will spur the present nationa! l stars to give of their best.

Mr Aggrey Fynn led the Black Stars to win the first African Cup of Nation's Cup in 1963. Mr Nsia was accompanied by Mr Sylvester Mensah a member of the board and Mr Mathew Doe, chairman of the central region football association.
