Aduana Stars reject Kenichi Yastuhashi rumour

Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Yahaya Commey has dismissed rumours that his outfit is close to finalising a deal for Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

The Dormaa-based club is without a substantive coach after their Romanian Cioaba Aristica informed the club’s board of his intention to obtain his PRO License coaching badge in the wake of their last match of last season against Inter Allies.

And the stories making round is that the club’s board has settled on appointing Japanese tactician Kenichi Yashuhashi, who was sacked by Accra Hearts of Oak midway through last season for what they cited as gross indiscipline towards the club’s management team.

However, Albert Commey has boldly come out to debunked the suggestions and says the team is under the care of their deputy coach, Abdul Rahman Ameyaw.

“There’s no truth in the rumours circulating because our assistant coach is one handling the team at the moment,” Albert reveals on Happy FM.

“I’ve had a lot of calls since yesterday, and I find it difficult to fathom where this rumour emanated from and why they believed it. We’ve not signed any deal with Kenichi of that sort.”

“I don’t know if he is in Ghana or not, but I’ve not seen him here in Dormaa and I don’t think it’s true because so long as I’m concern very soon we’ll meet as a management and then consider the issue of the head coach because Cioaba Aristica is currently undertaking his PRO license course, and we feel that the date he’ll finish his courses will affect our preparation for the league, therefore unless he finishes before we can see what we’ll do next.”

“But for now, I don’t think we’ve considered any coach as to say Kenichi is joining or any other coach.”

Aduana Stars finished the season behind league winners Wa All Stars under Cioaba Aristica in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
