Achimota Golf Club host IBB- Abuja Country Golf Club

Accra, Feb. 25, GNA - Achimota Golf Club will host their counterparts from IBB Country Golf Club of Abuja, Nigeria in March for their annual International Match-play.

The event is scheduled for the Achimota Golf Club course on Saturday, March 6 to Sunday March 7, 2010. A statement issued by Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club copied to GNA Sports said the 50-member IBB-Abuja delegation is expected in Accra on Thursday, March 4. Mr Oteng-Aboagye said sicne the inception of the competition, both teams have always won their home matches with IBB narrowly beating Achimota Golf Club 16-13 last year in Abuja.

He said this year's event would see a stiff opposition as the visitors are bent on breaking the home invisibility of the Achimota Club while the home team led by captain Mike Aggrey is also keen not to succumb to the visitors on home soil. The event which is being fully sponsored by Zenith Bank promises to be competitive, uncompromising and entertaining and the organisers are inviting all loving golfers to come in the numbers for an eventful competition. 25 Feb. 10
