Abedi Pele Centre To Participate in Sub-Regional Tournament

A sub-regional soccer championship for youths under 18 years, takes place 19-21 April in Abidjan.

The organisers said that four African football training centres, namely Mimosifcom of Cote d'Ivoire, FC Tougui of Cameroon, Salif Keita Centre of Mali and Abedi Pele Centre of Ghana will take part in the competition.

The championship is to be directed by Walter Aman, FIFA instructor in charge of the Development and Training, with the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF).

The tournament's estimated 10 million CFA Francs budget will be funded essentially by sponsors. (700 CFA francs=1USD).

For the second edition, organisers plan to invite eight training Centres to participate, including Raja of Casablanca, Esperance of Tunis, the Gilbert Ladji Centre of Cameroon and the Pepsi Cola Centre of Nigeria
