ASK Foundation shows appreciation to partners

The African Sports Kids (ASK) Foundation has presented certificates of appreciation to its sponsors and partners who supported them to organize the Community Under 15 Football Tournament in Nima, a suburb of Accra last December.

Chief Executive Officer of the ASK Foundation, Mohammed Mustapha and Communications Director Sammy Heywood Okine on Wednesday presented certificates to the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG), the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) at their offices.

Mohammed Mustapha, a young sports administrator who had the vision to unearth and groom young talents in sports said the Foundation was grateful to the efforts and contribution of the various stakeholders who supported them during the Under 15 programme in Nima.

Rev. Osei Kofi and Alhaji Ibrahim Sunday who received the certificate on behalf RENFAG commended Mustapha and his staff for organizing a wonderful event that attracted huge media presence.

Tony Baffoe the Executive Secretary of PFAG noted that ASK Foundation is an example of good things that young Ghanaians can do.

He urged the Foundation to continue the marvelous work they are doing and encourage the youth to shy away from social vices.

Tony Baffoe donated footballs to the ASK Foundation and prayed that some of the best players discovered during the tournament should be encouraged to go to school.

Sammy Heywood Okine the PRO of the Foundation thanked the partners and promised to work with them for a long time.

Some members of the Sports Writers Association (SWAG) who graced the presentations said the ASK Foundation is doing a great work and should be supported by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth & Sports.

Helga Gokah, a female member of SWAG said the ASK Foundation is a good organization and should go into the other regions where soccer talents can be tapped.
