$20,000 Found In ex-GFA General Secretary's Flower Pot

Security Agencies are investigating the source of $20,000 found in a flowerpot in the house the former General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Worlanyo Agrah, during a search conducted four weeks ago.
Mr. Worlanyo Agrah was arrested by security agencies over a taped conversation during which he impressed upon an Accra based lawyer to convince the lawyer of the jailed Sports Minister, Ambrose Dery not to ask him questions on his foreign account during the trial.
During the conversation, he also told the lawyer, Alhaji Ahmadu Tanko, former legal counsel of the GFA, that he has withdrawn all the monies in his foreign account. This disclosure led to speculations that Agrah knew something about the missing $46,000 dollars, which sent Mallam Issah to jail.
The National Security Advisor, General Joshua Hamidu confirmed the discovery, but said the case is still under investigation. When contacted, Mr. Agrah refused to comment on the issue but said all questions should be directed to his lawyers.
His lawyers could not also be reached. Alhaji Ahmadu Tanko, the lawyer who disclosed the taped conversation between him and Agrah would not comment on the found money because according to him, he has given enough evidence to the security agencies. The story did not however indicate any relation between the missing $46,000 and the found $20,000.
